Tax Justice Day

A day of informational talks, teach-ins and action to inform and educate the public of the injustice that tax systems impose upon the community. In addition to information on these injustices, strategies to resist the tax system will also be presented.

Informational Talks and Teach-ins to include:William Corbett tax quote.

Brief History of Tax and a Look at America’s Tax System Today: First historical facts will be presented with various viewpoints on taxes from the ancient times forward to modern America. Then a look into America’s current tax system that places the burden of the economic load on the middle and lower classes while the rich get all the breaks. All manner of modern American taxes and viewpoints on them will be covered throughout this talk.

Current Lack of Rational Government Budgeting and Spending in America: Government spending oversight controlled by the 1%, debts, and budget deficits. A look into biased and wasteful budgeting of funds by Federal, State, and Local governments including unchecked spending in areas benefiting the 1% vs. cuts to areas that benefit the 99%.

Tax Resistance: Why wait? Join the Movement Today: In this teach-in the history, reasons and viewpoints of tax resistance will be covered with an emphasis on methods of modern American tax resistance. Various resistance strategies for the modern American tax system will be considered.
